Nickel 200/201 Round bars are pure nickel-cobalt austenitic alloys with good tensile strength and good corrosion resistance against crevice, pitting and intergranular corrosions, and many other reducing environments. 200/201 Nickel has 99% minimum nickel proportion, and the remaining 1% consists of copper, nickel, manganese, and carbon-like elements. Nickel 200 and 201 grades show various properties in many corrosive atmospheres and acidic and alkaline environments. Nickel 200/201 allows hot forming at the temperature range from 870-1230ºC. In any operation, raising the temperature above 1230ºC might result in dissimilar properties. Any conventional cold methods can utilize nickel 200/201 Rounds Bars, and the results are about equivalent to mild steels. The power requirement in operation is high due to the high tensile limit on both grades. Nickel 200 and 201 are generally machined in the annealed condition in most possibilities. To assure optimal heat conductivity, liquid cold forming lubricants is required during machining. Both 200 and 201 have unique features that fall in the top class superior quality alloys list with enriched corrosion resistance properties that even enhanced the supply of Nickel 200/201 Round Bars across the world.
