Hastelloy C4/C22/c276 grades are available in a wide range and transported worldwide. Hastelloy C276 is a nickel-molybdenum alloy that has excellent corrosion resistance and high mechanical and physical properties. C276 has improved resistance in heat treating conditions. This type does not require heat-treatment after welding environments. The enhancement in fabricability is suitable in a chemical process application, and also this grade is also known to resist grain –boundary precipitation usually occurs in heat-affected areas.

Hastelloy C22 is a modified version of alloy C that is nickel-chromium-molybdenum tungsten butt weld fitting has superior weldability, and exhibits excellent corrosion resistance for both localized and uniform corrosive environments. This grade is generally consumable across various chemical components and strong oxidizers such as ferric chlorides and hot contaminated areas, seawater, and many other zones. This grade also provides resistance against grain-boundary precipitation as characterized by C276 alloy. Hastelloy C22 is generally not recommended more than 1250℉ because of detrimental phases produced above the temperature only.
Hastelloy C4 is also a little similar nickel-molybdenum austenitic alloy available to us, which has a wide range of characteristics such as stress corrosion cracking, resistance from pitting, and crevice corrosions. The chemical composition of all following grades Hastelloy C4/C22/C276 is not very similar. Hastelloy C22 has chromium proportion up to 23%, whereas C276 has 17% as maximum. The C22 is considered a high-carbon alloy that has a carbon percentage of up to 0.15%. On the other hand, C276 is limited to 0.10% only. Apart from that, C276 has up to 1% manganese to compensate for the chromium proportion, and C22 has less than 0.5% manganese composition. In addition to molybdenum and tungsten, the properties of the following grades are even increased in high-temperature environments.
